Paul D. Schroeder, MPT, CSCS, C-PS
Paul is a physical therapist, certified strength and conditioning specialist, and certified performance specialist treating a variety of orthopedic and sports medicine conditions for over 26 years. He was conferred his Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1993 from the University of Rochester. In 1997, Paul was awarded a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) from The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.
He has earned his Advanced Clinical Instructor (CI) Certification, serving as a mentor for > 25 Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students. He is a member of the Sports, Orthopedic, and Illinois sections of the profession’s national organization, the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Paul also serves as a Spokesperson for the APTA Media Corps, serving as a reference for journalists involving physical therapy practice and the critical role that physical therapists play on our nation’s health care team.
While owner/operator of his own clinic in NJ, Paul developed an industry-leading, evidence-based Return to Participation (RTP) Concussion Management program. This involvement prompted a move to Chicago, to be Coordinator of Concussion Services at Accelerated Rehabilitation, which he has widely adapted to educate physicians, athletic trainers, physical therapists, coaches, parents, athletes, case managers, and attorneys throughout the Midwest and nationally regarding detection and management of concussive injuries. He continues to provide consultation to post-concussed NFL players.
His treatment style utilizes a holistic blend of manual therapy, client education, and a multitude of exercise modes, while harnessing intrinsic motivation to foster behavior patterns of optimal health and wellness. Paul is passionate about promoting active recovery and teaching independent self-management techniques, which are are key to optimize recovery when combined with highly effective hands-on techniques, yielding an approach to treating the entire person for a more complete and lasting return to the active life you desire.
In 2019, Mr. Schroeder became Founder and Lead Physical Therapist of Fast Track Physio, located in Chicago. Helping active people stay pain-free and optimize their bodies for movement and performance became the primary focus in this practice model that combines physical therapy, strength and conditioning, bodywork, and performance therapy. Paul thrives working with athletes of ANY level to help them actualize the best versions of themselves and stay in the game!
Paul has many interests, especially weight and fitness training, sports; former collegiate and competitive bowler, and played golf and baseball in high school. He works as an assistant coach and strength & conditioning specialist for the Lane Tech High School Bowling Team, sponsor of the Elite Youth Tour, and a consultant to professional athletes on the PBA and PWBA Tours.

Chris Whelan first came to know Paul when he was a student of his in 2017. Following graduation from Northern Illinois University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT), Chris and Paul stayed in touch and to this day he remains one of Chris' most highly regarded mentors.
As a PT, Chris is always seeking to find the right balance of strength, mobility, and neuromuscular awareness to meet the specific functional needs of patients. His fitness background includes yoga, Pilates, HIIT, and playing competitive soccer. Primarily, Chris brings his own experience with trigger point dry needling (TPDN) to Fast Track Physio's clinical practice as an adjunct to the excellent therapy that Paul provides. TPDN has worked wonders for Chris and numerous clients, and is supported in the research of myofascial release to improve muscle function and reduce pain.
