Full-hour sessions of 1-on-1 care, effective Manual Therapy techniques with an expert
"I have been a physical therapy patient, on and off, for about the last 7 years, due to chronic instability of my SI join and lower vertebrae in my back. Paul Schroeder, by far, has been the best physical therapist I have had. When I met Paul, I could barely walk. I was in such incredible pain and was scared to do anything for fear of hurting more. He took such great care and built a trust with me that was able to break down my wall of fear and literally got me back on my feet.
He goes above and beyond the call of duty which I have never found with other therapists.
He gives you 110% every session
and you never feel rushed with a schedule parameter with him. You know he is focused on you, and as a patient, it is so appreciated. Paul is highly skilled, and more importantly, a compassionate therapist who does everything in his power to get you back feeling great. I feel blessed I was lucky enough to find him! There aren't many like him out there."
"Unfortunately, I've had a lot of physical therapy in my lifetime, and Paul is hands-down the best Physical Therapist I've had. I recently had seen Paul for 3 different issues/body parts, all at once, two of which were very complex and serious. under his care, all three issues were cleared up within a very short time-frame.
Paul is the gold standard - an expert in all phases of PT, his knowledge is second to none and he passes that knowledge along to the patient so that the patient understands the why and how.
He practices his craft with the highest level of professionalism, and his abilities as a practitioner are unmatched. Paul's clinical technique is astounding and had me fully functional with all three injuries in the shortest time possible - clinically, Paul can perform techniques/functions and manipulate injuries better than any PT I've ever worked with as a patient.
Paul is very inspiring and witty, as well, so there is also an element of fun to the physical therapy sessions. And he practices according to putting the patients' best interests first - as an example, Paul would not see me for all 3 injuries at once; two was the max, in order to maintain the integrity and focus of the process.
I give Paul my highest recommendation as a Physical Therapist, and I have followed him for subsequent injuries, even though location was more convenient with other practitioners."
"I have worked in health care for over 12 years and can say with complete confidence the experience I had working with Paul was one of excellence, top skill, and exceptional patient care.
Paul is unique in his way of connecting and educating patients
and his experience in the field makes him an outstanding physical therapist;
one that leads most physicians in our area specifically asking for him for their patient's care/needs.
As a manager he takes responsibility for his work (e.g. good work habits), strong interpersonal skills, such as empathy, tact, and humor, continually maintains a level of professionalism that made him a top-notch clinical instructor for P.T. students to learn from. Paul is a versatile, high-energy professional with a multi-faceted background and will be an asset to any team/organization he joins." "
"Paul was my physical therapist while he was at IvyRehab. He is very results oriented, but still provides caring, personalized attention to his patients.
He is creative in his approaches to therapy and is always timely, communicative, flexible, accommodating, and professional.
I have experienced great results, ahead of schedule, after being treated by Paul"
"Expertise, solid experience, and a strong ability to listen closely and communicate clearly - that's what I look for in a physical therapist. Paul possesses all of these traits in spades, as well as having an incredible sense of humor. He makes physical therapy sessions something to look forward to! I have seen Paul on and off since 2011 for upper back/rotator cuff issues including chronic pain. He's been great at answering my numerous questions and explaining physiologically, what was happening with my rotator cuff. Paul seems to have the ability to look right through your skin to pinpoint the cause of pain, and then develops a sensible plan of action, which would be adjusted as needed, for my road back to health. I have seen a few physical therapists in Chicago and in my opinion, Paul is the best of the best! I have great confidence in his abilities and have recommended him to numerous friends.
His amazing skills have been invaluable to me,
and for that, I will be forever grateful.
I started running as a way to quickly accomplish my cardio goals in a short amount of time just after my first child was born. Given that I was in my early 30's, I didn't anticipate needing to do much to prepare my body to begin running short distances 3-5 times per week. Over time, I developed severe knee and ankle pain, which ultimately kept me not only from running, but also pursuing lower-impact activities. I sought advice from an orthopedic surgeon, who prescribed physical therapy. Frustratingly, I spent the next two years bouncing between physical therapists who each failed to identify the problem. In fact. it wasn't until I was referred to Paul that the underlying causes of my knee and ankle pain were identified and mitigated with a recovery regimen. Working with Paul over 6 weeks, I was able to slowly build up strength in my lower extremities and address the underlying reasons for my pain issues! Soon, I was not only back to running, but I was weight lifting and building muscle in my legs for the first time in over 3 years. At each turn, Paul endeavored to understand my unique situation, and he adjusted his approach to ensure that I was receiving specialized care. I can't overstate how much I appreciated Paul's approach and results with treatment.
He literally gave me back a huge portion of my life that I had been missing for over three years!
torn meniscus and knee pain
I've had no shortage of injuries over the years, from mild overuse inflammation to fractures and tears. I met Paul about 3 years ago to address a concussion I had received from combative sports. He was incredibly diligent and detailed, addressing all factors from my memory to my vestibular activity. I was incredibly impressed with his plan of attack and am seeing him currently for soft tissue work on a tendon rupture from MMA. Maybe one day I'll walk away, but until then Paul is my guy. Thank you!
That knot I showed you when I first asked is completely gone. I'm blown away man! No lie, when you said it was a soft tissue restriction I was a little skeptical because it felt so pronounced. I figured it was some sort of structural thing after the scar, but it's flipping gone. That's amazing! Thank you.
I have endured countless tweaks, strains, aches, and pains in my 10+ years as a fitness professional. Nobody that I've gone to has ever been able to get me pain-free in as little time as Paul (Fast Track Physio)!
